Google Dashboard – your peak into your past

6th November 2009

When I say peak into the past, I do mean specifically your past.

Google has announced today Google Dashboard and, well …….. I’ll let them explain;

Today, we are excited to announce the launch of Google Dashboard. Have you ever wondered what data is stored with your Google Account? The Google Dashboard offers a simple view into the data associated with your account — easily and concisely in one location.

Sure to please privacy advocates, the new Dashboard allows what Google call “greater transparency and control over their (your) own data.” You’ll note a common theme in recent times for Real Estate is the introduction of more “transparency” too.

The new Dashboard will cover Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Web History, Orkut, YouTube, Picasa, Talk, Reader, Alerts, Latitude and more are coming it would seem. If you click on the above link there’s a video there explaining it more.

Amongst other things, you can delete items that you no longer want Google to track. Overall I’d say a great pre-emptive by the search giant.
