State houses are the best houses ever built, no wonder they are popular! The state houses built in the 30s and 40s are so cute. I admirer anyone who retains the original design and makes the most of the house as it was. Do it up but within keeping. I have just bought my second state house (1940s) and I just love it. The weather boards are like new! The rimu flooring is also like new!as the lovely rimu internal doors. If you have the good fortune to be able to buy one of these fab homes, please retain it's natural beauty and iconic features. Long live our kiwi icons! Love the house in Te Puna Street, Orakei, good on you for not stuffing it up! :-)
