Cancelled Flights and Bread Shortages!
Despite Air New Zealand’s best efforts, we managed to pull off our presentation in Dunedin last Monday afternoon – well Alistair did! Our 9am flight was cancelled but Alistair just happened to be at the airport early and was able to get the 7.15am flight (because it’s normal to be at the airport 2hrs before a domestic flight, right?!). It’s a good thing too, as myself and Jodi had to wait for a later flight via Christchurch, which only got us to Dunedin for the last ten minutes of the presentation!

With that disaster averted, we set off to Invercargill for a presentation the following morning. We got a pretty frosty reception on arrival…five degrees!! And to make matters worse we couldn’t get a nice warming garlic loaf at Lonestar, because they had run out of bread at the weekend??? Ah well, thankfully we had electric blankets to stave off the frostbite!
Things were looking up in the morning. Having had only 18 registrations for the Invercargill presentation, we were delighted to end up with an almost full house - 34 salespeople! Special thanks once again to our faithful friends from Perpetual Real Estate in Te Anau for traveling all that way to join us! We really do appreciate the effort.

Next stop was Queenstown for the final presentation on Wednesday morning. In contrast to Invercargill the sun was shining brightly but perhaps that’s a bad thing as the number of people who turned up was about half the number that registered. So it seems that the colder it is, the more people turn up. So we’ll just have to organise the Queenstown presentation during winter next time!

Thanks to everyone who came along. That’s the end of our presentations for this year but we’ll be starting up again in February, so we’ll see you on the road then!
