Market Activity on the Increase

Total residential sales in Gisborne posted a 41% increase in the number of reported sales for the second quarter over the first quarter 2009.Days on market dropped to an average of 37 days for the second quarter compared with 58 for the first quarter. The median sale price for the period remained virtually unchanged at $230,000. In summary, more properties are selling and are selling quicker, but values appear to stable with no real increase or decrease in values. Listings are beginning scarcer. Now is actually a good time to sell property as the competition for buyers has eased.
