What a Great Community & Country!

I have watched so much rugby and league, including the 2 local World Cup games live. The World Cup is outstanding in my opinion, and the local Boots’n’All and Our People Our Place festivals around it are proving awesome too. The colourful spectacle at both local games, and the concerts, mini cup activities, Country comes to Town, Oranges at Half Time, Backing Black etc etc prove what a supportive community we live in. We know how to have fun, and we know how to makes things happen. The entire country seems to have embraced the positive spirit of this Tournament, and it seems that our international visitors are having a ball. And there’s still another 3 Weeks to go!

We are indeed fortunate to live in Feilding, the Manawatu and New Zealand. We have so many positive “can do” people and organisations that make things happen, and many of these without asking for payment. When we want a change, we can go to the city or Lake Taupo, Mt Ruapehu, Wellington, Wanganui, Taranaki, Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay are all within 2 hours, and we have beaches, lakes, streams, bush, mountains all on our back door step.

Real Estate ticks along, but now is a time for everyone to enjoy everything good about living in our patch of Godzone.

Kind regards, Michael

  1. Great words Michael! It is great to see the whole country pulling together to help host such a world-class event. Despite not hosting any games, Christchurch is still abuzz with packed pubs and bars, and the dedicated RWC Fanzone at Hagley Park has been drawing good-sized crowds, but yet has that family-friendly atmosphere. Managed to get down to Dunedin for one of the pool matches – the mood in the city is just electric!

  2. You completed certain nice points there. I did a search on the subject and found
a good number of folks will consent with your blog.
