Christchurch’s heart is pumping…

Christchurch's new "container mall"

Christchurch's new "container mall"

Last Sunday I took a brief stroll through our new “container” Cashel Mall, and to be totally honest, I found it quite humbling. The experience left me with no doubt in mind that Christchurch is very much alive and its heart is pumping! I think it is really gives the people of Christchurch a very positive and reassuring message that we are rising up and anything is possible with the right drive and commitment. I congratulate those who initiated this “Restart” and believe it sets such a great precedent of more good things to come!

If you haven’t had the opportunity to check it out it is well worth the trip. In fact I am going to take the family back this weekend and take a walk around Cathedral Square at the same time before it is closed off for further work.

Go for it Canterbury – that’s the spirit!
