Writing this comment on a beautiful winters day in mid winter (15.7.10) feels like being in the calm of the perfect storm, that is to say that the life has been ripped out of the residentials sale market in the financial storm of the last 3 years. We are now becalmed in the eye of the storm about to rip into outward side of that storm and what will become of us (the market)?
My prediction is a slow recovery in sales as we go into spring and early summer with a gathering of pace beyond that point as the long awaited economy recovery arrives. Come on 2011111111111111!
Its a strange old business we work in thats for sure – in my little pocket we are seeing very little stock and high interest from buyers who are crawling over what stock is available – sometimes it seems very difficult to summarise the market as a whole.
The Hamilton market will come back Greig, its just a matter of when!
