Claim It – Before Someone Else Does

I share it here because of the valuable information to all business owners and tech-geeks:

I want to share with you a couple of things that you may again find useful. I certainly wish I had acted quicker on the first one, as my address has now been snapped up.

1. Get your .CO domain name before someone else does!

The new global domain .CO is here – designed for businesses and available to you now. CO is recognized globally as an abbreviation for Company, Corporation or Commerce. If you didn’t get a .COM, this is your chance to get the new version. I missed out by waiting too long, and Blue Banana is not exactly a common name.

Check to see if yours is still available at http://www.freeparking.co.nz/promo/codomains

2. If you have not already registered your business on www.foursquare.com, another thing to claim. Even if you are not currently taking part in this location based social media application, at least make sure you have your business listed correctly, the way you want it. This will help those Foursquare participants to find you easily as they visit.

If you are not already taking part in Foursquare and are a bricks and mortar business such as a shop, café, bar etc, I would strongly advise you find out a bit more and make a start. People are already using your business, so you may as well have access to interesting stats and make use of the special offer feature to your Foursquare participant customers.

I think we will see a heck of a lot more of Foursquare in the coming months.
