Bayleys Evolution Real Estate Conference – Notes from Day One
The Sky city convention centre, themed as a neighborhood with a post office, bar, park and lounge areas, hosted the first day of Bayleys Evolution Real Estate Conference.
The event is MC’d by Bayleys National Training Manager, Shayne Thompson, who skillfully entertained the audience who gathered from as far south as Dunedin.
It was a great opportunity to upskill, be reminded of the business’ fundamentals and understand what constant performers do it order to be successful (hint: focus and look after your clients, show up every day and be full of passion).
We heard James Tostevin from Marshall White in Australia talk about prospecting – James is funny, entertaining, edgy and full of passion for the real estate business.
The legendary Lee Woodward from the Real Estate Academy covered listing presentations and demonstrated beautiful cutting edge technology an ideas.
Julie Ryan presented about bridging the price gap, an entertaining presentation with lots of great tools, scripts and ideas.
The real bonus were quick wisdom snipets from some of our top performers: Gary Wallace & Marnie Adams who sell in Auckland’s eastern suburbs and Daniel Reed from Nelson.
It was great to meet many of our sponsors especially the lovely team from www.realestate.co.nz, Kerry and Tammy, who promoted their new Facebook page and the upcoming Future of Real Estate conference covering online marketing and social media.
Tomorrow we get to hear Michael Hill, Jonar Nader and Graham Crews – watch out for an update.

An excellent first day at the conference. I enjoyed meeting so many Bayleys people. Sorry I did not get to say hi in person but appreciate the nice words about the team.
